18" tires are kinda pricey. With that in mind, I'll probably go with Federals in 265/35/18 nonstagger.

I should have kept my 265/35/18 AD08's ...

Based on your previous research would the 10" wheel be a better performer for a 255/40 than a 9"?

for same size 255 width, 17" is proved to be better choice than 18"

the only time i see 18" go fast on track is when they need 265~285 width and BBK, then probably 18 x 10.5 or 18 x 11 would be better

The 255 will develop more grip on a 10" wheel than on a 9".

For the guys interested in 18's

very specifically:

What tire model would you run?
Front size?
Rear size?
285/30-18's in the front, 295/30-18's in the rear. The 285/30-18 is a nice short tire so it fits better in the front than a 275/35-18 or 275/40-17. I would definetely be interested in 18x10's for all 4 corners for track day tires. Likely Hoosier A6/R6.

Too bad there isn't a 275/35/17 tire available.

Not sure what you mean by custom size. I am making wheels as described in the first post. I won't do custom offsets for each individual user like CCW does, if that's what you mean.
