17x9 +63 is very ideal because you can run 255/40/17 tires front and rear(most) and:
-not have to run much camber to clear fenders
-will, in most cases, not have to roll fenders with stock suspension (coilover setups that are dropped quite low may need to roll, but should be very minmal)
Only at streets of willow on 1 turn did i experience rubbing on the inside (going CCW, 3rd left hand turn after the front straight... big willow and buttonwillow, i never experienced this

^^^ True but not needing to run a certain amount to get it to fit allows the maximum range of adjustment to get the setting you need.

^^ Not everyone is in a class that allows fender mods... My autox class for one does not. So I cannot massage my fender to clear the wheel, and what if the wheel needs x camber to fit and the fast setup happens to by x-1degree? but yes it does also allow them to sell more

Running "x" amount of camber to clear fenders is for street cars. Track cars should be running whatever camber yields the best contact patch/adhesion.

Serious question: low offset wheels... how much extra wear can be attributed to creating the extra track width this way? Are wheel studs more apt to break? At approximately what offset differential could one expect to experience a noticeable difference?
I know variables come into play(tires, weight, chassis stiffness, etc.).
Thanks.
