Advice on Necessities for DE Setup..
UPDATE**
Ok guys I ran the car the whole weekend almost 3 hours each day.. Here is my feedback on the car..
Those of you who told me the car is AWESOME stock are probably 100% right.. While mine wasnt stock i didnt touch the sways, left them stock.. I did the 14k/10k Coilovers and they worked well for me.. at the level i drive i had plenty of room with them and they didnt limit me by any means..
I destroyed the rotors like you guys said.. They are cracked.. I faded the brakes due to my own fault not threshold braking at riding them into the braking zone too much.. I figured that out 1st session the hard way.. They ran fine all weekend until the final session with almost a 1hr nonstop battle with some faster cars i cooked them again.. Probably my fault again not sure..
I did get the fuel starvation at less than 1/2 tank.. I noticed my gauge doesnt seem to drop very fast.. 1 minute i look at see 1/2 tank then boom its 1/4.. maybe it was me but it seemed to drop out of nowhere..
The car in the tight sections eats up most anything, its amazing.. While i wasnt out there setting any records i was seriously impressed by the car.. This is the 1st lightweight car i have driven.. you can toss this car around and it doesnt complain..
the 255 tires all the way around worked perfect as you guys said.. I never really even found the limit of them so.. They had grip for days with no issues of losing the back end at all..
Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone for all the input and great advice.. now i can pass the info i have learned on to my friends and customers.. The s2k truly doesnt need a bunch of parts to hold its own.. Im in love with it.. Now all i need is some seat time learning how to use the momentum of the car rather than the HP to make it run faster..
Thanks!!
Mike

I just resign myself to the fact that they're wear items and buy the cheapest rotors I can lay hands on (usually at NAPA). Fancy rotors might last a bit longer, but not longer enough to justify the price difference.
The gas gauge is worthless when you're on the track. You need to calculate your MPG while driving on the track, and put more gas in based on how full you want it, from your actual usage. When I tracked my S2000, I knew that every 80 miles (about two half hour sessions), I should fill up.
Mike, glad to hear the setup advice worked out! It's easy to hit the track with a twitchy car.
I usually get my cheap OEM blanks from either NAPA or RockAuto.com.
Apparently I'm the only one, but I don't seem to have fuel starvation issues at reasonable levels. However, I have noticed the gauge is inaccurate while on the track. After I come off the track, if I park and check it later, the level has magically dropped. I've found I get around 8mpg on track. As previously posted, that means about 80 miles until its time to fill up for sure.
