Do you guys run them straight as XP8 or or 10 or run 8/10 front rear?? Just doing my research while i got your attention.. do you prefer 8 over 10 if you run them straight or vice versa?? Thanks!!!

You got it backwards. Most people run 10's up front and 8's in the rear, so you get more front bias.

All too true. But Hawk Blues have one redeeming value--the one and only time I got Hawk Blues, I bedded them at night. The fireworks display coming off my four rotors lighted up the whole valley!

Blues are very difficult to modulate, and very hard on rotors. Some people love them. I really hated them, and will never run them again.

Did a little reading and found the 10/8 setup is most common.. Thanks for chiming in on that as well..

in my experience with XP10/XP8, on both my S2000 and my Spec Miata, they really didn't mind not being bedded (before they went pre-bedded), either in terms of braking efficiency, or pad longevity.
Yup, same here -- with both XP8s and XP10s I just slap 'em on and go. I'm running a Spec Miata, though, so a competent driver in an S2000 on R-compounds will be harder on their brakes than I am.

I've never noticed a difference with or without bedding on my XP10/8's either.

Call Danny @ carbotech he will let you know what you need. Im going to go the opposite way of everyone else and run XP12 F and XP16 R to get rid of all the fron bias the 06+ have already, and hopefully stop my rotor cracking issue.

I've heard Cobalt Friction XR2's are very good pads and don't mind going on used rotors with street pad material on them. No bed in required.

according to the Cobalt info the Combo for s2k is Xr1 in Front and XR3 in Rear.. Xr1 is rated for cars over 2600lbs.. I guess the only way to know what you like best is to try some different compounds.. The Cobalt and Carbotech both have good reviews.. Ill see which i like best.. Thanks!!
