I am running scca but also a few track days here and there, including Mid-Ohio this Friday . I took the A/C and CC out because I wasn't planning on competing but now I want to so they will most likely go back in, minus the refrigerant, should be a couple pounds there right? I'm going to pick up a set of Hoosier road race compound tires today and I'm having the Saner bar put in as we speak. I went with the road race compound to avoid overheating the tires at track days, I figure they will be plenty grippy for regional events, and should last quite a bit longer then the AutoX compound. I've heard too many different opinions on the Kumhos to go that route, the only bad thing I've heard about the Hoosiers is price, but I can swing it.

Good on-line version of the SCCA rules here:

http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/Rules/index.html

They might have felt it fell into:

[QUOTE]13.2 Bodywork
Accessories, gauges, indicators, lights and other appearance, comfort and convenience modifications which have no effect on performance and/or handling and do not materially reduce the weight of the car are permitted. This does not allow driver's seat substitutions or the removal of "tow hooks", a.k.a. "tie down loops". Delayed shutdown devices such as the "Turbo Timer", which perform no function while the car is in motion, are permitted.
