Does anyone with autocross experience have any brand name recommendations as far as front sway bar, X-frame (will DeGrappia ever be available again?), springs or coil overs, and tires? My only mod so far is a Spoon strut tower bar. Thanks.

YES, THE X FRAME CAN BE FOUND BY SPOON AT WWW.INLINEFOUR.COM, ALONG WITH OTHER CHASSIS SUPPORT.

Since you used "autocross" as the title, I just wanted to make sure you were aware that none of these modifications, except for the front swaybar, are legal for the stock class. Even your STB is not allowed.

As for recommendations, I'm very happy with my Comptech front swaybar, but others have reported breakage problems. Mugen makes a nice oversized bar, and a couple of our members are working with Saner for a more affordable solution: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=87405.

Any X-brace does the job of stiffening the chassis, even moreso than just a STB, and I agree that the DiGrappa brace looks the nicest. I didn't know it was no longer available.

I don't have any experience with non-stack springs and shocks.

I've found the best performing decent weraring street tire in the dry to be the OEM SO2. Hoosier is King of DOT-legal sticky race tires (with Kumho Victoracers not too far behind).

a few notes to add to Josh's response for your decision making...

the X-Brace isn't a swaybar, its just a chassis brace to make the car stiffer, as does your shock tower bar (which does little by itself on this car). by having the STB on the car, it bumps you up a class, so if you are worried about class rules, get a rulebook or follow some guidlines here, otherwise, go out and have fun and who cares what class you are in - you are there to learn.

I don't know diddly squat about autocross,,, I just wanted to say "Hi" to two new Reno owners. I don't see very many S2K's around here.

Excellent. I have only seen one other red, one yellow, and a black around town. Which might you be?
