with lincoln around the corner I find it interesting to bring this old thread up again.
Looking at the Championship Tour so far this year
C5 4 firsts and 2 seconds
S 2 firsts and 3 seconds
at spring nats the C5 scored one of those first and second place finishes.
So, do we predict the C5 to win at Nationals in two weeks?

Unfortunately, with all due respect to those who will be campaigning S2000s in two weeks, there are no known jacket-level drivers running S2000s at Nationals this year. Conversely, Lane is already a national champion and Solo Triad winner in his Corvette, and Michael Heinitz is a "national championship event winner" (or whatever they call winners of provisional classes) in his MX-5. Odds are quite good that Lane will win; odds are very good that either Lane or Michael will win. That says nothing about the S2000's competitiveness one way or another; they would both still contend for jackets even if they switched to S2000s.
