I appreciate your input and never claimed to be a top national driver. It's nice that you can judge talent on a few corners in the first 3 or last 2 runs on 1 or 2 corners. I'm not new to the sport as I've been doing it on and off for the last 10 years. I am new to the chassis. Not that I want a sugarcoat but you certainly don't do you. Nothing short of a little arrogance the way you're speaking to me, no need to speak down to me bro.

Hey bud, not taking sides or anything, but I wouldn't take it as arrogance or talking down, think of it as just "speaking frankly." The idea is that until you become a master and are consistently extracting 97-99% out of the car on any given day, being concerned about what car is faster is somewhat of a moot point.

My suggestion regarding SCCA classing is that if you really want to go after the win in a particular class, once you become a master, you need to buy the car for the class, tune it properly and put the right parts on it. Don't hold your breath or get your hopes up that a car will get classed favorably. Ultimately it is up to a small group of folks to decide, all of which have their own interests, agenda and vision for where the sport is going in the future.

I'd love to see someone go 10% faster than me in my car, the seat is always open too.

That's where the arrogance starts, "bro."
With you.

Why would anyone want to waste their day with you in your car?

I watched your drive and you gave up more than a second in time, easy.

Your entry to the Chicago box wasn't smooth and you were late getting on the power. Not to mention the downshift execution.

Leeder is a National grade driver. If you could have watched him drive that STI like I did, maybe you'd have bit your tongue instead of whining "ooooooh STIs....."

He drove his ass off. You didn't.

You're telling me you watched all 6x.xxx seconds of all of my 5 runs? That's impressive.

5th and 3rd in PAX locally probably works out to mid-pack on a national level, if that. I typically win pax at all my local events, some by 1.1-1.3 seconds and still barely trophy at national races.

Put someone like Geoff Walker and Nick B against you and you'd be 2 seconds off pace atleast.

Link to your video, I wanna watch them.

I watched you give up time in the Chicago box each time I saw you run. Watching you through the first half of each run, you had already given up time that Leeder had not.

So when you whine about STIs being too fast, I immediately discount you as a bench racer.

It'd be one thing if I was judging you based on your attitude and whining. But I was there and am judging you based directly on your driving. I'm not fond of your entitled attitude, but that has nothing to do with your driving. Or does it?

^^THIS

Chicago is a decent region, but not nearly as strong as Milwaukee where Leeder normally runs.

He indexed #1 in Milwaukee with over 5 multi-National champs last event. Greg Maier is the only one in Chicago at last event, IIRC.

Heck, I indexed 10th at the Chicago event with a meh drive and my wife indexed 30th CARRYING A CONE.

Index, shmindex. Doesn't mean shit in regions without top talent and National-grade courses.

10% faster would be about 6 seconds per minute. I have not seen you drive but I doubt anyone would be 6 seconds quicker.

3-4% is more reasonable, as that is about 2 seconds per minute difference. Which can easily be the difference between a "Good Driver" and a "Champion Quality" driver.

I am not arrogant, you may be the next Sebastian Vettel. If you would like, I would be happy to drive your car with you at the Nats test course for a few runs. I'll also be at Wilmington. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Nick
