I like that Yom is out there giving probably the only Nationally accurate A-street data out there. Yom is a machine. And Otis in his AS Vette is also a machine.

Lane Borg in BS Vette is also a machine. Would like to see some S2000s in CS, but not sure if that'll happen.

The data sample of cars has been really good at Chicago Region events, but it really takes a driver like Leeder to compare to. I really think S2k, MS-R, and Vette can get the job done against a 2015 STi.

Mike said the new STi turns better than the previous generation(expected, but disappointing news if you drive S2k or MS-R)

The stats sheet(HP,Torque, tire size) wouldn't support class parity, but somehow it kind of works out.

If I can get the push out of the MS-R and maybe some tires that handle heat a little better, I think the MS-R is as good as anything in B street...locally at least.

CKit, could I have your impressions of my runs....814 Red MX-5?

I'll probably move on to a STR lite setup next year and put more parts on as the funds come. I think 17x9's and 255's will make the car a lot more fun to drive. I'll hold on for a pax change or possible reclassification but the car feels really undertired right now.

I thought you drove quite well! I was watching and listening to S2000s a little more carefully than the MX5 but I do remember being struck by your smoothness.

IIRC you were nice and early on your elements. I think I remember thinking you could have been just a touch closer to the cones in key exit areas where the risk reward ratio is a little more favorable? Does that sound right? I'm just going on what I think I remember.

I also think I remember thinking that your car could be a whiff looser in the rear. Just a whiff. Like 1-2psi more rear pressure. Or maybe just take the rear toe down very, very slightly.

You must be running the ZII's too if you're talking about heat tolerance.

Well, there's something to be said about forthright speech here! I'm just not sure what it is.

It is pretty easy for a good driver to assess another driver's skill level from the outside just by watching a couple segments of a couple runs. I bet most National Champs could tell you who the class leaders or contenders are after working a heat on course. There are remarkable differences between the top 10% and the rest.

I don't have much insight to add to the platform debate because Winnipeg events are about the farthest thing you'll find from National caliber courses, but I don't think the AP2 is that far outclassed in B Street. There are, however, some excellent drivers in other cars who could make it look that way.

And if they move the AP1 to CS, I'll be there with bells on next year.

Ckit, when you say "take the toe down slightly", do you mean less toe-in or actually going to very slight toe out?

I have fought this push since I got the car this spring....great in transitions, but tends towards push on the steady state corners(made worse in hot weather).

Thanks for the critique and kind words.

Thought I got within sight of Leeder on my first afternoon run just to watch him improve by another .5

UGHHH NO WAY NICK! After STR the natural progression would be BSP! Please do it. Sweep the classes in S2000's =)
If Steve Seguis lets me codrive I would very much enjoy it That's about the only way I'm staying in an s2000 though.
Aw man now my shot at co-driving Steve's car is going to be harder, it's time for you to move on to a Z06

-2.1 f -1.9 r
zero toe front and rear.

That is what previous owner told me

My thought to get rid of understeer
1. Left foot brake
2. Packers in rear suspension
3. Crazy high rear tire pressure
4. Slight toe out on rear suspension
