In the middle of putting this bar in and wonder if the convertible tray needs to be remove or does it stay and in addition stock seatbelts bolt to collars on rollbar???


IN addition does anyone have any pics of the actual bolting location. I have removed the bulkhead and some other items and ready to bolt in but am I unsure of specifics???

 

I think I figured it out.

 

I bought a bitterman roll bar. I see that you installed yours. Maybe you can help.
It seams that:

Seat belt retractor mount sheet metal has to be bent for the upright that bends forward to clear. If I put a 1/2" block spacer in between the bulkhead and the roll bar flange so the upper sheet metal is cleared will the roof still clear the roof?

Convertible top frame has to be removed to get the base of the roll bar in between the top and the bulkhead.

Does the bulkhead where the hoops are mounted have to be removed.
Mine has the bar across for harnesses, but this is in the way for the mounting plates to be flush...I was going to cut it off..using stock seat belts.

Any problems with any of the srs seatbelt systems or airbags?

I do track days and want to keep the car street friendly.
