Default Buttonwillow CW13 that you've never seen before

Some details.
The car is most equivalent to a MOD class S2k Challenge build car. It has a turbo, but for accuracy purposes that that relate to an NA car, i've turned boost down to 20%.
The gearing is mid way adjustable, can't adjust single gears, but it's decently accurate - the RPM gauge is for an AP1, but i want it to shift like an AP2.
You can see where it tops out:
1st - 40mph
2nd - 58mph
3rd - 82mph
4th - 110mph
5th - 132mph
6th - 150mph

With the right setup, shifting is very accurate with the right shifter setup. At the 7:30 mark, you can hear me mis-shift (i'm using n H-pattern shifter).
Also, if it sounds like i'm heel-toe shifting, it's because I am.

My fastest lap is a 1:54:xxx, which seems some what accurate with Real Life with the much faster NA drivers on softer R-comps, although I'd say a well prepped MOD car on RE-71/NT-01/RC-1 in cool whether is probably capable of that in good drivers hands.

Details of the setup are in the video, but so you don't have to search for it, see below:

Details:
Game: Assetto Corsa - PC
VR: Oculus Rift
Track: Buttonwillow CW13 AERIAL LIDAR LASERSCANNED
Track Dev/Publisher (MOD): Sim Traxx

Sim Rig:
Fanatec CSR Elite (discontinued)
Club Sport V1 Pedals
Club Sport Shifter v1.5

PC:
i7-6700 @ 3.40GHz
GTX1080
32GB RAM
Oculus Rift (VR)

I don't have much seat time on this track. I just got access to it earlier this month (it was first released November 2017. they're on v 1.4 now). I'll see if it makes a difference the next time I'm out at BW.
The setup overall has made a difference in my driving. I've never been confident catching slides and the rear of the car. Since i've spent more time on higher quality sim racing setups, I've been much more confident and capable of catching slides that I've never been able to before. I'm still slow, but I'm having more fun and able to push more than ever before. (Assetto Corsa, Rfactor2, Race Room Racing Experience - R3E) all on the PC - they have the much better physics and tire modeling engines.

They have quite a few laser scanned tracks, but none that I've been to in real life.
-Laguna Seca
-VIR
-Sebring
-Shelton/Ridge Raceway
-Pacific RaceWay
-Pike's Peak
-Portland raceway
-Brands Hatch
-Bathurst
-NJMP (New Jersey Motorsports Park) Lightning
-Watkins Glen
-Zandvoort

And a bunch of other big name tracks. There's way too many to list - 51 tracks that I've downloaded with multiple variations. The buttonwillow mod has 1cw, 2cw, 3cw, 13cw, 14cw, 15cw, 16cw, 18cw, 25cw, 26cw (no ccw...)

I may have to get a Rift or a Vive. I've got a basic setup (Playseat Challenge, Thrustmaster T300 wheel/pedals and stick shift), and play on a 3-monitor setup that works pretty well... But I bet having the full 360 degree view would bring a lot more realism. Also I wouldn't have to drag the rig over in front of my desk...

I wish I had a realistic copy of my S2k (with its mods) in the game, but I don't have the skills or the time to pick 'em up to accomplish that.

very nice ! i'll check it out tonight

i also made a private version of the buttonwillow 2 years ago, but mine didn't have lidar data (google map elevation data), so some of the road camber wasn't correct

this is mine

Is there anyone working on a S2K mod for AC? all the ones i found have good graphic model, but when i open the physic file, they are all completely wrong, (McPherson strut front, multi link rear)

That's a pretty good job on modeling BW if you did that yourself. That said, the mod i used feels pretty accurate with the laser scanning - the elevation changes are pretty good with the exception of Phil Hill/Magic Mt. It definitely captures the elevation change, but I'd say that it feels a bit more drastic than what this track is showing.

I'm not that in depth to know how the mods work or even try doing any mods myself (cars or tracks). This one is the best s2k mod that i've tried so far.

https://mega.nz/#!MdsDhAoA!1fh7a-Kj1c3_9ugWSzhw7BUiEOLBPZXjLEAlpmb2gPM

It has both a stock AP2 (9K rev limit and RHD), and a modified one that feels like how my car is currently modded (wing, coilovers, bbk, NT-01 r-comps). I just turned the boost down to 10-20% to match how my car feels power wise, and changed the gearing so it matches an AP2 (8100 rpm redline).

This guy does a really good job covering both cars in the two videos below - he's using VR and has a proper streaming setup with real life pedal cam so you can see what he's doing.

Stock s2k.

Modded S2k.

Anyone know how to find a S2000 for AC any more? The links do not work.
