I feel the curbs make a big difference from the cotton corners to the bus stop. Also the grip is pretty sweet. The track is not 100% yet but from today we will see some really fast laps come the fall/winter when the temps drop.

You're lucky you weren't the poor souls clearing the lime off the track. Good to see it improved throughout the weekend. Times were way lower sunday than friday. Lets hope it continues.

Are those patches already at apexes in some of the corners (3-4 are, outside of 1...)?
Is that bump still there on entry to riverside?

There are patches from it lifting Saturday. They brought in the asphalt guys to fix it Saturday night. Sunday had no issues with it lifting. The contractor actually told me that the lime they laid down was a mistake and it wasn't needed.

There is a little bumpiness at the exit of riverside right next to the curb. Not a big deal.

It was strange, the track had a different look since the curbs weren't painted so it was visually different to drive. The sweeper was a mess towards the outside so you had to hold a slightly tighter line. It is faster though. My 5th lap in red 1 I did a :57.0 and it wasn't clean. It will take a day or so to explore the limits more.

Totally OT but I was hoping for a little assistance with GoPro settings. Finally after Seats/Harnesses/RB/Susp/Aim Solo and enough seat time to feel good I ponied up the $300 for GP. I am roll bar mounted in a similar position but my vids are all washed out. Think I tried the spot meter setting but maybe I fat thumbed it. Are there other settings options? I was set at 960/60 I believe. Curious what your settings are and if there is a way to keep them as default after getting there.
BTW second lap looked much less dramatic so probably with familiarity/fresh rubber you will be even faster
TIA/PM me if you don't want to muddy up the thread.

BTW as an East Coast gut I am missing the S2K challenge vids this year. Hopefully they have not only been posted on FB, you know FB is evil right?

Yeah it was me who won supermod. That was my 2nd lap in the video. For the GoPro if it's washing out it's definitely the dot setting that's off. I have a few old ones that were washed out when driving towards the sun. PM me if you want more settings since I'm not 100% what they all are ATM.

Just turn on spot metering, wide. Don't need to do much else I believe.

I wonder if it's going to be as butter smooth as CVR.

Anyone run on the repaved surface yet? I think Speedventures is hosting their first event since the repaving at the end of this month.
Repaving Daytona Ruined it. I really hope the same won't happen with BW. It was fun being that it had about 100 different types of pavement on it.
