Hmmm... Love these.

I met a guy at Öhlins a few months ago and I asked him about the China thing, the cheapest models are made i China but all the competition parts are made here.

There are shims, just not on the main piston. The main piston is solid. The shim stacks are on the valves themselves. Essentially, the TTX is a pump, and the valves control the flow of oil. As far as serviceability goes, you might be able to keep it on a formula car, while making a valving change if the damper is pretty horizontal, but pretty much everything else would need to be removed from the vehicle. The main benefit with regards to serviceability is that a valving change can be made without complete disassembly and bleeding. As far as Ohlins internal parts being manufactured outside of Europe, that simply is not true. That being said, the 'Road and Track' product line is comprised of Japanese manufactured parts with all engineering originating out of Ohlins Sweden.
Thank you clarifying those points for us!

Any more details to share about what we can expect from these and a price range from 2 to 4 ways please?

I would prefer to use the ttx thru rod but cant justify cost & this is better suited for road/track as main piston rod seal not as exposed.

I will start with a baseline setting from ohlins vrp & see how it goes on track then revalve if necessary.

Sorry, didn't mean to stir the hornets nest or offend anyone. Simply stating my opinion that these are a level above the rest. FWIW I went from KW to Ohlins to Motorsport Bilsteins back to KW's. Everyone has a different compromise.

With regard to resolution.

Motons are known for having bad resolution, so much so that the new line of CS's have 14 instead of 7 clicks.

With regard to shimstacks.

Perhaps I read wrong in RCE, but from what I understood, the TTX do not use shimstacks to alter damping/valaving which is a HUGE plus. The ability to service/alter damping while on the car without having to rebuild recharge is awesome feature.

With your traditional Moton/JRZ/Penske, this is a many hour long affair.
Which issue of RCE discussed these?

Beautiful. But I just could not bring myself to spend that much money no matter how good they are.

How does that work? They all look to be the same length? The front vs rears are significantly different in length. Rears short, fronts long.

Maybe the bottom four are the rears? Photos?
