Hey guys sorry, I have been away for a while... It used to be funny when I see you being jerks to other people but man some of you are tools yourself. Here are the answers to your questions and I would love to hear back from you.

I autocross very often in A stock but I don't care about classing anymore as I think I am going to move to track racing of some sort and I just want to have fun. I know it is a bad idea and that it will kill the resale of my car but I don't plan on selling my car... at least for a very long time when it has too high of miles to get any money out of it anyway. So do I care about resale value...no. Also I know it doesn't save much weight but really it's about the project. I love working on cars and don't do it as much as I should. I don't use the a/c, it saves weight and I learn things from it. I really don't see much of a down side. Oh and the comments about a CR I don't have the money for one now and you can't get one without the air conditioning but with a stereo and since it is my dd I really want a stereo.

Thanks so much for the ones of you who gave helpful replies.
Nobody is being a dick. You cam e to us with a dumb idea and we told you so. If you want to remove the AC go nuts. The information you need is in the Service Manual.

Not everyone was a jerk, but some were. I understand everyone thinks it is a bad idea. I even understand its a bad idea but I want to do it anyway and the question wasn't if it was a good idea but how to do it.

I was a little confused by one of the posts. If I remove my a/c my heater goes too? What parts can I remove and still maintain my heater.

and to camuman I do use my heater. I am trying to just remove my a/c and yes it does get to 90 sometimes but I honestly don't even use it then. I just put the top down and go.

and i highly doubt you can defog the windshield if it was raining and you couldnt kick on the ac to cool teh air in the car. the windsheild would get all foggy, and iut would be disgusting sticky in the car. i know, my turbo hatch didnt have ac, but that shit was a second car and a purpose built go fast in a straight line car.
Actually, the defog/defrost works just fine with the AC turned off. (There's an Easter Egg button push sequence that allows you to do this.)

im curious as to what this easter egg button is? when you turn on the defrost/defogger setting in the S ac kicks on , and you can not turn it off. ac is needed to defog when raining, becuase the fog is cuased by moisture in the air in the car, and ac removes moisture, aka humidity when on.

idk, i have been in many cars with no ac, and each and everyone sucked ass in teh rain. why, cuase it was humid as a mofo in the car, the windshield would fog up, and if you cracked the windows, it was a tad better, but then you got rained on. eitehr way you were ****ed.

if the op wants to remove it, the service manual kicks ass. prolly the best thing i ever bought.

good luck with the mod, i def dont agree with it though
