Default Is a co-driver needed to win?

Has anyone won at Topeka without a co-driver. Without regard to advice or help is a co-driver necessary? I have never been on concrete so i am not sure how critical tire temp is. thanks for the responses.

In previous years I'd say yes, absolutely - the A3S03 was pretty much useless on the first run; and didn't do very well if the temp dropped too far.

Now that we have the A3SO4 I'd so no, not required. The 04 seems to hold the heat better - and starts to fade if they get tooo hot.

Yeah... what he said.

The new tires (both Kumho and Hoosier) seem to perform much better at lower temperatures than their predecessors.
