Default Coilover Set up For Track and Autox

I just got the Mugen coilovers installed and started the dialin process. This is my first coilover suspension so I'm new to this whole thing. I looked through the faq for any set up recommendations but could not find anything.

Does anyone have ride height, compression and camber suggestions? I used to run -1.5 front and -2.0 camber with the stock suspension. I'm currently using Spoon 16" wheels with toyo ra-1's. I use the car for track days, autox and street. Any info would be very helpful.

I'm interested in some base setup info too.

I would start out with the UK alignment for one.

As for ride height did you measure your stock suspension first? That is a baseline then lower the car accordingly.

A 10-30mm drop is about as low as most race shocks go.

You also need to consider the rake, this is why it's good to have a baseline so you stay in a similar range.

The mugen dampers only have a compression adjustment, no rebound?

I'm not sure on the adjustments. I bought this set used with no doc. I'll measure my buddys stock S2K for a reference.

I was interested to hear if there were basic adjustments for tuning like; Too much oversteer = raise front 1/8th"

and if a standard drop of 1" all around was true.

Any info again would be helpful and sounds like could be used to start an faq for coilover tuning.

When you figure out about what height you want to have the car I would try to find somebody with scales and have the car corner balanced. This should yield the correct ride height front to rear and side to side and then start using the damping adjustments to dial in handling. This is only theory though I'm yet to get my c/o's on and playing with them. Hopefully after this weekend I will have some knowledge to share.
