I've been reading with and having similar issues with my Miata even at naturally aspirated power. Changing the radiator does not fix an overheating issue but it's a step in the right direction.

1. Don't remove the thermostat, maybe go with a lower-degree one.
2. Upgrade the radiator to help.
3. Vented hood. Read up on high/low pressure areas and where to add the extractor.
4. Ducting is key. Create your own ducting with thick plastic or ABS sheets so that any air that flows through the bumper opening is forced through the intercooler AND the radiator and doesn't flow around it. This is where you'll see the biggest difference in water temperature and also the easiest savings on your pocketbook. Go take a look at the track build threads on miataturbo.net and you'll see what I mean by ducting.

You'll probably have to register to see pics but it's well worth it... Great ducting example: http://www.miataturbo.net/race-prep-...ics-vid-66173/
