Default Cracked, Leaking or Blown Motor/Engine Mount

Maybe my searching skills suck, but when I started to get this problem I couldn't find any pictures to reference, so I figured I'd post some for others.

It started as just a little bit of rust colored fluid on the oil pan/block near the passenger side motor mount. When I saw it, thought it might be the engine mount, but wasn't sure... searched and couldn't find pictures to know for sure. A couple weeks later I started hearing some noise during limit cornering and got back under the car. At that point there was a whole lot of fluid everywhere. I jacked up the engine .5 inches or so, and could tell the mount was now in 2 pieces.

Might be a good idea for others to inspect their mounts if they see a lot of standing starts. Currently my car has:
-80k miles
-2 years of autocross
-60 or more 7,000rpm launches (many on A6s)
-2 seasons of winter driving (that I know of, under my ownership)
-8 years of use (MY01)

The carnage:

Yowza!

Did it fix the noise? And how long did it take to replace?

As far as I can on normal roads, the sound is gone. We will find out this weekend at event 4 for sure.

It took about 40 minutes to swap out. Working by myself in a poorly lit garage, about 20 of those minutes were fiddling/balancing a flashlight so I could see.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the passenger side mount is under compression or tension during acceleration or a hard launch? I'm not sure which way the engine tries to twist.

I think the torque is clockwise from the driving position, so passenger side is under compression under accel.

that would make sense and explain why the engine didnt come through the hood at my last autocross.

lol. the torque is towards the fusebox. think of how an engine torque damper is supposed to work
