It definitely looks like someone tried to pull it off...I don't see how DF could have caused that much damage. Are you sure it was damaged due to DF?

yes %100 that it was due to the downforce

any ideas on how to support the trunk? any pictures?

also mods, can you please move this to the track/racing forum? they might have more experience on my problem

instead of pictures of the damage, pictures of the angle of attack on your wing might help. Im with the others when I think that if it was actually caused by aerodynamics, its most likely because your wing is set so that it creates a drag force, sort of like the airbrakes on a veyron - instead of the downforce required. It would also help to see under the trunk, to see what sort of bracings are already there. what material is the voltex wing made of? If it does that to semi-reinforced sheet metal, I'd be surprised if the wing itself didnt get damaged.

Also, remember that the force - either drag OR downforce will both increase exponentially with respect to velocity.

If you want to keep the setup, I suggest a wider base plate on the wing instead of the puny (what appears) 1" width of the feet. This would be the easiest fix. A more harder and elegant fix will be to put reinforcement under the trunk, but it will have to be properly sized

Why don't you post a question in the ongoing Voltex wing thread there instead?

And really, there needs to be a zoomed out picture of the wing element.

I've seen people cross brace the underside and run extra supporting struts. You could probably get away with larger aluminum plates on the underside of the trunk to keep the bracket "flat" and distribute the force.

As an aside, be careful out there. 160mph on public roads? I'm not a fan.

There are 2 adjustable rubber-supports on both sides underneath the trunklid. They should bear the load. Are they lost in your car?

I just realized, it appears to be torqued, not pressed down. The wing stand you have is probably too high for the s2000s trunk to handle. perhaps theres a reason why the CR wing was kept shorter?

And the CR trunk has an additional rubber bracket to support the corner of the trunklid.

Clearly someone tried to steal this by trying to pull back. Unless the car has a flux compacitor I highly doubt and s2k. Would generate enough force for this to happen. This thread is lol.

Looks to me like someone tried to rip the spoiler off. The dents look like from a heavy hit on it not from over time bending. I am no expert though.
