Congrats to Nick and Jon and everyone else. Looks like it was a fun course.

STR competition will be super intense at nationals this year. The bar keeps getting raised as everyone gets more seat time, tweaks the cars, and new competition joins in. I'll put in my prediction now of 75 plus STR nationals competitors with a real challenge to get a trophy, even with over 15 trophies awarded.

I must admit, and I know it takes a toll on the diff and axles, but I freaking love Pros. I'm definitely doing more this year for sure, and bring spare axles and diffs with me.
I somehow missed what the final word was on your clicking noise. Was it a loose axle nut, axle problem, diff problem, something else? Did you gamble it and compete with the clicking noise?

I agree that it is a good idea to bring those spare parts... if you autocross enough, and I know you do, you will need them!

Hi Dave, the axle held up over the weekend, but it will be replaced tomorrow for the Evolution super shoot out this weekend. My mechanic will take the old one apart and see how bad it is, so I'll let you know

Haha thanks James!!! I don't know that I am the man to beat just yet, staying humble, more work to do - Jay is super fast - all I know is that I got in some super quick runs and had a little bit of luck go my way for once!!! For that I am super pumped!!! Either way thanks for the kudos my friend - and word is you are in BS this year too?!!?!? Lord help us, it's going to be a thermonuclear war between us all in Lincoln....hahaha

Sandbagging huh? Talk to Fineberg about that

Also, I have just uploaded my co-driver Justin Lau's video: The best part is the last 3 minutes of the video; the last run and the reaction in the pit lane, all the way up until he turns the camera off...HAHAHAHA!!!! Well done Justin!!!!

Pat Salerno's write up: http://www.sccaforums.com/forums/for...82/scope/posts

"The footrace between Mr. Barbato and Toussaint (sp ?).....on the courses was interesting. Overall I think bowlers are in better shape than autocrossers."

Seems to me that launching to keep in VTEC is out of vogue - both drivers in your videos sounnd very much like the engine drops out of VTEC for as much as a second. Am I just mis-hearing?

I would still shoot to keep it near vtec, but I think it is less critical in the Ap2 because of it's big mid range power advatage. I did slightly bog a few runs. Those were about a tenth slower in the 60'. Good 60's for us was 2.3. 2.4 was average. You heard correctly.
