Engine Mount replacement
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I need to replace my engine mount, they were shot after my spin out at the track into a tire wall.
I saw these on Amazon that apparently fits S2000s: DEA Engine Mounts
Has anyone tried this and has the durability of the OEM engine mounts at the track? I'm trying to figure out if I should go with these or OEM. These are about half the price of what OEM through majestic honda shipped.
I don't think I'm going to go with Hasport or any other aftermarket performance engine mount, I do drive this often on the streets and don't like the vibration they give.

Hey whomikedao
Here at our shop we've experimented with a few different mount types. Although I can't say much for the DEA product, I do know its probably made of a soft polyurethane compound but we've never actually used them. Which is why I couldn't recommend it; because installing something that you don't know whether or not it will work may become costly if they go wrong. I can recommend the OEM part, which we use in a lot of our street/strip applications, reason why is because the OEM mounts are actually filled with a liquid that stiffens the mount were necessary and absorbs vibration much better than the solid mount. Although I see that you track your car and I know your against the Hasport's, but one of my technicians recommends the softest compound Hasport offers just because it is proven for such applications. But if your simply a hobby driver in a daily driven car I would highly recommend the OEM mounts. Better to spend a little extra money now, than more later.
The DEA mounts are almost exactly like OEM mounts and offer not discernible difference in function or feel that I can determine. I have one OEM and one DEA and if it weren't for immediate need at the time and availability, I would have gotten 2 DEA mounts. My car has seen track duty and sees regular autox/street use.
I just installed a set of DEA / Marmon Ride Control motor mounts and can confirm that they are almost like OEM mounts. Apparently they are solid rubber mounts. I decided to weight them against the hydraulic motor mounts I was replacing and they were roughly 100 grams lighter than the hydraulic motor mounts.
I don't notice much vibration at idle but I can tell there is a little bit more vibration above 5,000 RPM or so. The whole car is just a tad noisier which is OK with me. We'll see how they hold up on track.
