For most people with FI the fan switch is redundant since we have aftermarket ecu's and can change the fans that way.

You may also want to consider:

1) krank vents. Plenty info on this site about how to install and the potential benefit they provide.
2) Welded in cage-build to NASA/SCCA Spec, dont skimp here.
3) Kill Switch and fire system.
4) Front and rear tow hooks
5) Monoball suspension-I used TC Design
6) I went with 17x9 volks all around with 275's and have been very pleased. Volks are good forged wheels and they can be had for relatively cheap.
7) If you go with the AEM EMS for your management system I would seriously consider using the AIM MXL Pista as it can be slaved directly to the AEM.
8) After market steering wheel with quick release hub.
9) Cool suit depending on the climate you are planning on racing in.
10) Possibly upgraded clutch/flywheel.
11) You may want to consider an AP2 tranny.
wow 275 all around sounds pretty nice!....what are other boosted guys doing for wheel/tire setup? I know there is a thread on tire selection in the FI section, but thats more focused on straight line pulls....what are the road course guys primarily doing?

I was planning on waiting for the 949's and going with a set of r888 or something like that not sure what size yet though, but if I can find another wheel used for less then I would do that as I'm not concerned so much with weight.

Just as a consideration, larger tires get very expensive. If you're not doing this competitively, you might consider sticking with narrower tires.

The 255-width tires on 4-rear AP2 wheels are popular. If you run R-comps in that size, you'll get enough grip for most noncompetitive things.

I think krazik runs 285/30/18 on 18x10 CCWs, I'm planning on 295/30/18 street tires on 18x11 CCWs (but mainly because I'm doing more street tire autocross this year for convenience). I may do 265s on 18x9s in an R-comp.

But tire costs can be almost DOUBLE if you upsize from the 255s. If you're just tooling around a track, not sure it's worth it.

What street 295/30/18 are you running. I choose the NT-05's but they only make a 35 series which is going to gear down my final drive a bit. I did the math and I think it will be tolerable but if it's not I may have to do a new FD or there will be some brand new NT-05's for sale on Ebay for cheap. lol

They're cheaper than Hoosiers and last longer.

I waiting to see what the speed shop bill comes out to. It's going to be a big chunk o'change.

To those that are running oil coolers, what size are you running and where are you mounting it?
