This guy blew his F22C motor with 14k miles on it (4k with KW SC high boost). Was a quart low on oil, running on an oval, and presumably no oil cooler.

I've got a year of tracking with my vortech kit. So thats 14k street/track miles. The only time I had an issue was in summer with track temps at like 110 the temp gauge creeped up and I just turned the heater on and it dropped and if I had an oil cooler I think I wouldn't have had that issue.

Last weekend snapped an axle on the street doing a first gear roll.

Oh yeah I highly highly recommend brake ducts because I was cooking my cobalt XR2's after like three sessions.

Water temp is different than oil temp... with "normal" water temps, you can still be roasting your engine.

planning on tracking my turbo's car (gt30 full race) this summer. I was planning on adding an oil cooler and maybe a baffled pan but I had some issues with my custom lines and they are fine now I almost feel like it's better to leave well enough alone. I figure I can test it on the track for a little if temps get out of control I can add it later in the summer. I did have my car setup with a low boost of 7psi for track and 15psi high boost.

So, type "welding arm" into your search box.

Is that difficult? How can I make your life any easier?

I'm trying to be nice here because you're new.

Your post about, "What's an A-Arm weld?!" is OT to the topic of what should go on an FI track car. I don't think anyone would debate that this is a useful FI AP1 modification.

It's also in the R&C FAQ, if you look in there. I just double checked to confirm that the link is still there and active.

And when I logout and click on the link it still works.

Maybe it's your work computer that blocks the request?

And if you need additional help, here's another link:
Google "A-Arm Weld" off s2ki.com

I'd add:

- upgraded radiator cap (i have J's racing cap)

-upgraded thermostat (i have the mugen)

-and upgraded fan switch - for AP1 S2000s - (J's racing)

those three combined helped reducing coolant temp alot, which would help maintain a better oil temp since there is a heat exchanger between the two.
