I also get about 11 mpg. I usualy hit the fuel cut off with about 90 miles on the track. At this point I have about 1 or 2 gallons left. The last time I went out I showed 1/4 tank. After 10 miles it was empty and the "out of gas" light was on.

Because of the delay built into the guage, it doesn't work well under "dynamic" conditions. When you're throwing the car around on the track, the gas is sloshing around in the tank, and the guage does not read accurately.

I refuel whenever the guage is less than 1/4 full.

I think I get around 5mpg. I don't go out w/less than half a tank. I'll have to double check next time, as you guys are getting way more MPG than I thought I've been getting.

What kind of boost are you running?

I saw 11 mpg at my one and only track day

I reset the trip meter when I fill up, and when I get to about 90 track miles then I'm running on fumes. Ignore the guage.

I get 8-9mpg on a dry track. I go completely off of that, and won't go more than 100 track miles without a fillup.

I think the problem is that whatever way Honda built into the gauge to keep it from changing due to sloshing is slow to reacting. When you're burning gas so fast (I burn about a gallon every 7 minutes on our local track), the gauge just can't keep up. I found out the hard way on my first track day, when I set off for home with, I thought, 1/3 of a tank, and five miles later (past the last gas for many miles), it was showing almost empty).

Track gas mileage really depends on the average speed and other characteristics of the track. Interesting enough, both my stock S2k and my miata (14.8s 1/4-mile) go about 100-105 miles on a tank.

The fuel gauge is not accurate on the track. By the time I saw the fuel light (still had 1 bar) on the track, I slowed down and head off to gas station (~1 mile from the track) but it was too late. It hiccup'ed on the uphill (but not on the track) and I had to crawl up in 1st gear to barely make it to the gas station. And that's no more than 110 miles.

The stock gauge is not so much inaccurate as it is slow to change. It doesn't adjust as quickly as you burn through it. 7-10 mpg depending on the track. After a while you sort of just know know. If you start a session at 1/2 tank then 20 minutes later you will have an empty tank. It will probably show 1/4 tank left but if you turn it off and let it sit level for 5 minutes it will have 0-1 bars when you turn it on again.
