Harbor Freight jack

Sorry, I thought you guys were talking about their Craftsman garage jacks.
So what do you think of that Craftsman AL jack VS the HF jack?
$200 VS $130, but the Sears jack is rated for a 2 ton car, and has a better warranty. And if it's busted, I can just drive to Sears to exchange it. Hmmm...

If you have a clearance problem with your floor jack and are looking for something a little better and safer than 2x6's, check this out:

From experience on a 3100lb car, the cradle on the Harbor Freight Jack cracks. It is a tranny jack now. I have utilized the 2 1/4 Harbor Freight heavy duty jack for many rear-end changes, tranny removals and general garage duties the past 8 years(same jack). No problems.
Here's an email I received from a good friend who races an MGA in Vintage.
I have recently purchased the Harbor Freight "Racing" Jack as we have a
new Harbor Freight Store Here in Lansing Mich. I had looked it over closely and when it went on Sale for $109.00 I bought it. It was evaluated in Jack-A-Thon (the web site dlq posted earlier), and got good marks. However I agree that it is a poor choice for use in the shop. It will be awesome in the pits, but the drop rate is "RIGHT NOW", which is not good in the garage. My Sears floor jack (read China) is a piece of crap
that takes many-many-many strokes to lift the load. It is heavy, cumbersome and ugly. However I fell for that Craftsman Label. My 30 year old Hein-Warner has been rebuilt but is still the best floor jack I have.
