Default Help please: Tall driver Recaro Pole Position

A brief background: scored a bare Recaro Pole Position without mounting brackets and or any sliding mechanism for my driver side. I'm 6'3" and due to steering wheel rub on my thigh when heel toe shifting, it's making it more difficult. Being lower, pushed back further, with the extra legroom, I feel will help dramatically. So I'm looking for a mounting system without a slide, to where I can mount the seat lower and fixed right on the OEM mounting area of floor; pushed back as far as possible.

Are there any reasons I shouldn't do this? Is there a slide that goes as low as a direct floor mount that I should consider? If I'm on the right track with my thoughts, which brackets should I get that bolt directly onto side of Recaro Pole Position, and directly to floor mounts? Looking for quality that I can trust on track. Thanks for you time.

Buddy club low down rails. I have them with pole position. Are they the best quality? No. they squeak a bit and people had issues in the past with welds breaking. They are mount height adjustable so you can go as low as you want. I'm the same height as you so I set it up with seat bottom rubbing the floor. It's incredible how much more I enjoy the car now. I can see traffic lights, fit in with the top up and helmet on, etc. Also I remove the seat cushion in track to go even lower which is great. You won't regret it.

^ this is exactly what I have. Though I've only used the seat cushion once when driving the 10 hours up to the Dragon. You won't regret it.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Much appreciated.

Got a second part to the question: The seat is in like new condition, however it's missing the lumbar pad. Any idea where I can get that at? Or if there's some ebay shop that sells replacement pads for cheaper or something?

BC fit well for me (6'2" using pole position) but after it broke I had a custom fixed side mount made. I recommend just getting one made right off the bat.
