You need to watch some racing on TV

Thanks.
I wired his car and its setup almost identically to mine (im without boost)

Really the secret on these cars is a larger radiator. The OEM laminova style cooler is MORE than sufficient if the radiator is up to the task.

Hes got a larger dual pass radiator
Ive got a larger single pass

I can run at autoclub (front straight +T1-2 are WOT for 40 seconds with a 25 degree banking) in august when its 100+ outside and my datalogged temp never moves and my oil temp is never over 250 (commonly 235 with moroso baffle and OEM pan).

FWIW to the OP, a stock powered S2K without a pre-existing condition is bomb-proof. My car sees 20-25 track days per year all over socal. I change oil every 3 days, and get at least 4 batches a year analyzed. Im not kind to it. I have a 2.2 with a K-pro and will spin to 8700 on some tracks to avoid the upshift. This is my 2nd motor. My first let go after a money-shift (11k rpms) with 100k miles and 75-ish track days on it.

My advice, datalog everything. You should be able to spot failing components in data LONG before they really fail.

Yes

the dual pass radiator keeping the water temps around 190-205 while on track will help oil temps low.

So so far no need for an oil cooler.

I lost two engines to what was probably g-induced oil starvation. I was running a stock oil pan with a baffle. If I were still tracking an s2k I'd definitely go with an after market oil pan.
Anecdotally, I still see a lot of spun bearings on cars with baffled pans...... is it still not enough, or is that just how it goes tracking heavily?

I've seen two Moroso panned motors with spun bearings, but that in no way reflects negatively on said pan.

I must have tempted fate by starting this thread, because since then my "reliable" supercharged s2k has cost me 3 track days. First the mount on one of the pulleys fell apart, then the idler pulley siezed and welded itself to the new mount, and then the supercharger belt blew.

The first two problems seem to be because there was a spacer not installed when the SC was installed, so I am hoping that's the case.

The SC belt lasted me a year and was showing signs of wear so not replacing it in time is my fault.

I recently switched to a lightweight flywheel, does anyone think that could be cause of some of these issues?

I ran it with a Mugen baffle pan. Since my car sits for weeks if not months I liked the idea of the pre oiling the accusump provided.
