Default KW install question

My KW VW's came w a lock luck zip tied to each one. You might think these lock nuts were to install the shock mount, but they're too large.

What are these nuts for, and what hardware am I supposed to use to install the top mounts?

BTW, the hardware off the stock shocks is too small. I think they sent the wrong sized lock nuts!!

The zip tied nut is used for the lower control arm mount bolt. The stock bolts are welded to the shock itself, so you need to use those to mount the new coilover.

The top hat bolts do not have to be reused. Use the two bolts that are on the top of the coils (I don't remember the size) - they were holding down a piece of cardboard when I received my V3s. I held the assembly as tightly as possible and torqued down the first nut to spec and then torqued the second on top of that.

Hopefully that helps a bit.

It does, thanks.

My problem was that when I looked at the nuts holding the cardboard on top of the shocks, they didn't seem adequate. I'm accostomed to more substantial appearing hardware.
