Lap Tracking Software?
Does anyone know of any software that is able to take FlashPro datalogs exported into csv form as input, and extrapolate that data overlaid on top of a track map? I'm sure this would be possible, given that the length of the track is known. I am thinking of something along the lines of the graphics in Car & Driver that show approx. speed at each corner, max speed on the straights, total lap time, etc. This would be immensely useful and would be a great tool for self-improvement!
Not sure how it works with flashpro, but I ha e been looking into Harry's laptimer app for iPhone then connecting an obd2 reader via Bluetooth or wifi and then an external GPS for a more accurate gps reading. Then you can use some software like racerender or the like to overlay the lap data.
I took some really old datalogs from flashpro, exported as a csv, then loaded the csv into racerender. I am only showing rpm, gear, Tpedal, and corrected AF. You can pretty much make a custom gauge or show data as text/number so you can show pretty much every type of data that you log via flashpro.
At my next track day I will datalog with flashpro, use Harry's lap time for GPS info, and gopro for video then sync all of the data types together.
For now
