I was hitting 1:37-1:38, with 1:36.5 as my fastest. Stock ap1 ssm with v12s. Was running with the green bands. Just wanted to compare what other s2ks got (stock or mod)

Btw I had dehydration at the end and I was drinking like a fish (water). Need to be careful out there.

Edit: picture
I think you were running CW but my laptimes for this track are the same either way. With the heat it was a 1.27 going CCW. Make sure to stay hydrated! I was getting dizzy after just a few laps...

Which car was yours? I was in the blue AP1 under the white tent with my buddy in the blue E46 M3.
I was the other Suzuka

You had the rpf1 right? It's always good to see the rare blue's come out and kick some ass
Awesome, I was watching you around the track, looked solid!

Yup, that was me, first time out on the track and had a blast. Ill be back out there as much as possible, but not in the heat, that was a brutal day.

Looking forward to seeing you at more events come winter! I definitely won't be going out until at least late August/Sept. If you see me come say hi and catch a ride

Yea it was cw yesterday(Sunday). You were hitting 1:27...? The fastest lap times I saw yesterday were about 1:32-1:33. I may have missed something though. And those were probably not stock.

I agree that people are nuts for doing so many 100+ degree track days. I suppose after awhile you start to adjust to it though. I would guess that Willow Springs and Buttonwillow probably get much hotter, but this past weekend at Thunderhill was pretty brutal with 102+ degrees all day long. 110+ is a whole different ball game though.

I found my AP2 to handle the heat pretty well in terms of water and oil though running 6 sessions I never had any overheating issues and didn't burn any oil throughout the day. But I would imagine my oil temps were rather high. I should also note that my car was always parked in the shade after each session, which was significantly cooler. I don't think I would have made it without the shade.

All of the regular Thunderhill S2k guys were running about 2+ seconds slower due to the heat if not more. I was able to get about 2-3 flying laps before the tires would go off.

I think I drank about 2-3 gallons of water throughout the day.

I absolutely will say hi. Are you allowed to take rides in others cars? I'd love a ride!

I am not stock, the car has wheels and 255 sized tires all around and coilovers. Aside from that I have an exhaust and a seat, so I'm definitely not the craziest modded car out there, that's for sure lol. There is many talent faster than me in our area

Yep, you can go for ridealongs with certain people at XS events.

I data log my car last Friday. Peak ambient temp was 106*
Water temp was 205 at hottest. Measured using stock temp sensor on the head
Oil Temp was 257 peak. Measured at the pan.
The oil pressure saw dip only at the end of T2 at thunderhill. It is a long left hander. I saw 42psi. This is using Blacktrax baffle pan. I'm very happy with the results.

I'm not surprised at all. I hit over 270F as measured at the oil filter with ambient air temps in the upper-90s and with a Koyo radiator running a coolant temp of about 97C.

I started with the B7042 and then switched to the B202(same size as the B7042 but has a higher bypass pressure).
I have now put over 70k miles on my S with these oil filters so that should ease some fear that these will leak or fall off.ROD
That's interesting. I did a quick search and while it seems hard to find these Baldwin without paying a premium for shipping, it seems they are the same as the Hastings LF383. I might just try one out on my next oil change.

I attend events which are perpetually hot as I go to Malaysia. Track temps are /scorching >40 deg C sometimes climbing way higher. I drive for 20-30mins at a go with windows up so the moment I get out of the car I rehydrate. I think I lose a couple of liters at a go

For the car, get as much cooling overkill that u can. Big oil cooler, big radiator, coolant additive, fan control via your hondata... Less heat = more power & better longevity of parts in my view.

Btw, the one off 111F you experienced is what I get almost every session. The heat and sun is so bad it literally "bites" your skin

Have you considered not living in Singapore?
