Default Lightweight(ish) AP1 sized wheels for AS?

Only thread I could find on this was in 2003 that discussed the JDM (yo!) wheels.

Looking to help a friend set up his new to him 2000 AP1 for stock and looking for any options other than stock wheels (he doesn't have them) that are fairly lightweight.

I understand the stockers are around 18-19 lbs, but anything at or around 16lbs per corner or less? Rota?

Thanks!

I haven't heard of anything new. The AP1 autocrossers I see are all running the JDM wheels or the stock wheels.

Nothing really available in the right size and offset other than the JDM BBS wheels. You see them for sale every once in a while. I think Dan_UK may have a set for sale.

[shameless plug]

I happen to have a set for sale right now, check them out:

For auto-x you really can't go wrong with them. I mainly drive HPDEs so they're lost on me.

yea the OEM BBS wheels from Japan are really the best (and quite probably only, I haven't heard of another one and I've looked quite a bit) option for you you I think.

I was going to wait to post this untill i got them but these are what i will be running for AS.

I have a local shop ready to mill the fronts down to get within stock offset, only needs about 5 or 6 mm. Sadly the rear i will be running stock wheels. I also race with another club that has different rules than the SCCA and i can run all 4 O.Z.s cause they dont car about offset just size and they are stock sizes Here is the big part.. or small part lol the fronts are 14.6lbs and the rears are 15.7lbs. When i get them on i will post picks

MadcityEP I thought the OZ wheel where within SCCA limits for offsets +/-.25in. is the offset limit I think.
