Default Lightweight Windshield?

This may be a stupid question but please, take it easy on me. I'm starting work on a 90 Miata, I'm stripping as much from it as possible; AC, PS, Top, Interior, etc. It's going to be an autocross/track car, but I'd like to keep it streetable (certainly not anything close to a daily driver, but something I can drive around if the urge strikes).

The current windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. Are there any reasonably priced lightweight options to consider or should I just stick with a regular old windshield? Thanks, and sorry for my n00bishness.

NO interior, top, or AC? might as well cut off the windshield too ... build it for prepared autocross or production club racing. If you don't need to drive it on the street, and you're already getting rid of everything else, why compromise?

I've been thinking of redoing the one on my Miata in lexan... Haven't taken the plunge yet though.

I want the car to still be streetable and I don't want to lose any teeth or eyes trying to drive around w/ no windshield. PS/AC/top are all stuff I can easily live without, a windshield, not so much.

Looks like a pretty good option, thanks!
