Default looking for advice on track alignment setups.

so i know it all depends on what track it is, driving technique, and skill set but would just like to get a general idea on what settings i should start at for road racing. I've done two lapping days so far at the ridge in wa. with just the oem specs. I've recently just installed new suspension (hipermax 4 sp's) and front solid 30mm sway bar. before i head to my next track day, I'm going to get an alignment and corner balance. like to get some ideas from some experienced individuals who have tried many setups.

i am running a non staggered setup with 255/40's. after doing some research, i have some ideas on what settings i should start with;

front:
camber -2.5
caster 6.3 deg
toe 0

rear:
camber -2
toe 0.125" total toe in

what do you guys think? any input would be greatly appreciated and looking forward to learning from you guys!

You wont get that much front camber without camber joints.

i can get -2.5 max front and -3 rear with stock parts. it all depends on how low the car is.

Your numbers look like a great starting point. I prefer a touch of toe out in front and zero toe in rear but I like a fairly loose setup.
What tires and spring rates are you running? - That impacts optimal alignment as well.

The Ridge is a great track. Good luck.

what generation are you? ap1 or ap2?

if ap1, do you have a rear anti bumpsteer kit?

If you have an ap2 or an ap1 with a bump steer kit; I would say that definitely too much rear toe. I run 1/16 total toe in and I might consider reducing it to 1/32 total toe in

i have an ap2. why do you say its too much rear toe in? what do you not like about it? i heard its bad for tire wear but rear end is tighter?

toe-in in the rear keeps the rear end settled but it also kills drive

you think youd be able to tell the difference of 1/16 to 1/32 toe in?

I started with 1/8th total which was great for novice skill.

And when I was able to control the car needed more drive and was willing to deal with the looseness of the car; I reduced the toe to 1/16.

I plan to cut it to 1/32 on my next alignment but if the car is not predicable or too loose I will try 3/64
