Default Mounting harness?

Hey there everyone, noob question as i've never installed harnesses or a roll bar, I'm about to have a roll bar coming in and I'm unsure how these
http://www.soloracer.com/rallye4.html

will be able to mount onto a roll bar like the hard dog without drilling in rings? does that mean I will need to get different harnesses? I know they're 4 point, but they're dot approved and for a four point also has schroths anti submarine function on them.

P.S. can anyone link me to some good tools for cutting into the wheel well and drilling into the frame to mount the roll bar? I want to attempt this diy as the price for installing one seems unjustifiable if I can just cut and drill into the car myself, the rest seems bolt on.

Thanks!

Don't cut up your roll bar to fit the harness. Did you order a roll-bar with a lowered harness bar?

Check out Schroth's install instructions;
http://www.schrothracing.com/docs/Co...structions.pdf

On page 25 you will see the easiest way to install the harness. Should just need different "hardware" at the ends.

As for installing the bar you will need a buddy to help after you get the seats/interior out.
Print out the instructions they provide;
http://www.bethania-garage.com/s2000_install.htm

A carbide 3/8" drill bit made pretty easy work getting the holes drilled out.

I used a angle grinder(cheap harbor freight model) with a metal cutting disc to make the big cuts in the fender wells, and then used a dremel with their reinforced cutting discs to make the rest of the cuts as it is much smaller/more maneuverable.

The reinforced cutting discs also made quick work of the interior plastic cuts I had to make as well.

Do a search, this has been covered many times on this forum with pictures included.

thanks! i appreciate it

edit: i don't think I will be running the lowered, do you think if i were to run the lowered, it would be too far from the seat to "correctly" mount the harnesS? schorth says that too far is not good.

And don't forget to wear eye protection when cutting and grinding metal!

May I ask, why a 4-point harness? Especially for a vert, a 6-point seems like a better idea unless it's for Autox.
