If the inside edges are at the cords, then the tire is now useless even though you may have meat left on the outside, if you ran 0 camber the damage would have been more evenly distributed and you could have continued to use the tire for a little longer.
I have -2.5 on my daily driver with no adverse side effects.

So I installed these my self and came up with a good way of preventing them from slipping.
When putting on the top slotted plate, put the slot going from front to back instead of left to right( meaning put it on 90 degree to the pressed in plate). This will pretty much fix you at max neg camber on the joint and prevent it from slipping.
