Don't throw away your old block. Sell it in the for sale forum. Someone who is going FI will buy it and have it sleeved. It won't be a total loss.

I'm not sure, but correct me if i'm wrong but i believe u can get a honda block for
the f20c for $1321.87 plus shipping from majestic honda. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...R+BLOCK-OIL+PAN

Then again i've never ordered anything from majestic honda, so i am unsure of the validity of the site, or maybe i'm just lookin at the wrong part cuz $1,300 seems pretty cheap to me for a brand new honda block.

Has anyone here purchased anything from this site?

i got a new shortblock..... which included the crank, pistons, rods, bearings, etc..... i would end up paying more $ for just the labor to transfer my shit to the new block if i went with just a "block" vs "short block".

Instead of ordering from Majestic, www.hardtopguy.com is usually alittle cheaper and much better to work with. Jeff @ Ganley honda is the guy's name.

He had one of his employees deliver my short block 300 miles each way to the shop where my car is. It would have cost more and taken more time via freight carrier.

to Jeff!!!

the shortblock was just under $2000. similar pricing as majestic honda on the internet but they would have charged a ton for shipping, etc....

Yes, I just ordered something for my Honda (no more S2000) and had a pleasant experience with them. They have all the parts online with diagrams so its easy to order what you need without making a mistake.

On a side note, Scot, how is your racing going?

this happen to my 01 and was going to over bore it. On the advice of our master Honda tech he said to replace it with a new one cause he has honed a Prelude block and came back with oil burning problems, Honda has a service bulletin about honing these FRM blocks I'll get a copy and see if I can up load it to here.

But if anyone needs a block I have an 02 block with 14k on it I'm trying to sell for 800bucks 02 block has new style banjo's .
