Default New ARE front bar fitment problem

Anyone else here got one of Guy's new front bar? The problem I'm having is that the endlinks are touching my HKS coilover's shock body. The diameter of the shock body is larger than the stock shock's body hence the problem. When I had CR shocks with the bar, it was rubbing the brake line bracket. Anyone has similar problem or solution? Is it possible to cut a section of the bar off (an inch of so) and re-weld it to shorten it? I talked to my fabricator over the phone and he said sway bars are tempered steel and it would weaken the bar too much. Tried to get in contact with Guy, but he usually takes couple of days to respond.

I barely rub the brake bracket on the stock CR shocks. I too have some slight concerns with putting on the shocks I have as they look bigger then the stock CR shocks. But I think if they are tight I may just dremel out some space for them as my shocks have threaded perches, and I can actually unscrew the resevoir out dremel the material without worrying about nicking the resevoir itself and then reassemble.

YMMV

quick update. After closer inspection it was the washer at the end of the blade that was rubbing the body. The washer was a millimeter or two larger than the endlink. I replaced the flat washer with a lock washer that sits a little inside the endlink. I now have around 3/16 of an inch on each side. The believe the bar is 1 3/8 inch, comes out to be 34.925 mm. For reference my electronic scale says the stock bar with hardware is 11 pounds 5 oz and this bar is 18 pounds 8 oz.

I had rubbing on the brake line brackets on Koni Sports and just ended up cutting/grinding the brackets down until it fit with no rubbing.

I also switched the endlink washers for lock washers as well.
