I thought it was like a Super Lock "Plus" because it will lock more when a wheel suddenly spins freely.

Or are there any disadvantages compared to the Super Lock LSD?

I am curious to learn more about the "dual core" LSD. I just put a Super Lock in my car yesterday and am wondering what the new product is. I've got no meaningful feedback on the diff yet though. Have only street driven it lightly and need it to be broken in.

You can dig through this Japanese site and use Chrome's built in translator to read reviews.

I'd imagine for track use the standard OS Giken unit would be better with more predictable behavior, but that's just a wild guess.

I considered the dual core when I imported my Spec S, but I don't think any of the time attack S2000s in Japan use the dual core so I decided to go with more of a known unit

im trying to understand what the dual core does too
it sounds like a 1 way plated diff. locked on drive, including wheel in air, open on turn in and braking?

Here is some more info

https://en.taniguchi-automotive.com/...-dualcore-2way

Seems like it behaves like a torsen until you unload/lift at which point instead of spinning one wheel it locks

That sounds interesting! After going up to SST wheels I've been having problems with rear wheel lift a bunch and was thinking about a diff...

So I have my order in for an OSgiken super lock. This is going in my ap1 racecar. I've spoken to some who have sent theirs to OSG USA for tuning. It's not that expensive but I don't know if I'll really benefit from them just changing out the cone springs.. worth the $1xx.

My car is strictly track w2w. Power levels will range from F20 w/ bolt-ons to F24 NA..

Another question is recommendations on diff mounts when running a clutch style diff? I have the softest innovative mounts currently. Would I benefit from swapping to hardened rubber mounts like Megans?

We have some units in stock and more on order offered with free shipping within the continental US. We can have any of the inbound units built to any custom spec before shipping as well if you wish to deviate from the standard tune.
