Panasport wheels
Received info from Panasport that they have an application for the S2K.
16x7 48 offset
16x8 55 offset
Aprox Weight: 14-15 pounds
No price yet
These are pure racing wheels and are not recommend for street use.
Has anyone had experience with Panasport?
Would going with the Spoon be a better option with 45 offset all around? The car is lowered about 1.5-inches so I have to be careful with clearance.

Very interesting, depending on price. I've seen this brand in my Alfa catalogs for years. Wonder how these would stack up against the 16" JDMs. I don't recall our OEM specs, but will these Panasports be A Stock legal?

Nope... front = 16x6.5", rear 16x7.5". Still seems like the JDM spec wheel is the only viable option for a lighter wheel. I've tried just about *every* custom wheel maker, and none can produce the required offsets and brake clearance for 6.5 and 7.5" wheels.

4-5 pounds lighter than stock. Sounds good.
I think I will place the order with Giampiero for these as they meet the rules (stock dia/width).

Panasport wheels have always been a very good product(I doubt that they've changed in the last few years). Classic design, light weight, and very strong. The Pro Rally guys really like them because they really stand up to the abuse. I've heard of one rally guy who lost a tire on a stage and kept running the car to the end of the stage because he had no more spares with him. The wheel not only got him to the end, but he was able to mount a new tire on it and it still worked fine. No cracks and still reasonably true. Panasport makes one piece and 3-piece modular wheels.

because they are not recommended for normal street use, does this mean that the compound isnt' as strong to hold up to road wear, where potholes and other road deficiencies come into play? or... ?

Well... The price for each wheel was nice. Around $250
But the weight is not good: 17-18 pounds each.
I went ahead and ordered a set of JDM 16-inch from MG.
Now I have to wait 6 weeks!
