Default Patched tire

So I came home and just put on my two new front tires (I swapped out the 235/40 I was running for 245/40) and found a screw in one of my rear tires! I'm gonna have it patched and plugged the good way but do you guys think it'll still be safe to use at the track? I'm thinking it's probably not a good idea and should just buy two more rears... BUT, I thought I'd get some input from the real racers

[My gf had a good point in that it's good that I found it now and not at the track ]

Many of us have run patched tires at the track with no negative consequences. Be sure it is patched professionally, according to industry standards.

I stressed over it but couldnt afford a new rear, let alone 2, so I ran with a properly pathched tire and was fine. In the end though, if I had the time and buying 2 new rears wasnt a big deal for me fnancialy - I would have just replaced them.

You should be fine as long as it's plugged properly.

I have run a patched RA1 with no problems in the past.
