Default Possible to mount APR wing with risers further forward?

As the title states, I'm wondering if it's possible to mount the APR gtc-200 wing with 2.5" risers (all s2k spec) further forward on the trunk?? This is mainly to try and keep the edge of the wing from not extending beyond the edge of the car (the rear bumper specifically), also I have a GTMotoring duckbill spoiler that I would personally like to keep on the car if possible with the wing. The reason I ask is because moving the base plates further forward while staying close to the edges of the trunk would extend the distance between the pedestals, potentially putting tension on the pedestals and other stresses on other components. Would this create any negative results?

Has anyone ever done this before? Posting in here because I'd assume this is where most of the "functional-folk" hangout.

Thanks in advance!

It's not going to work easily. The base plates have a little curve that won't match the trunk lid curve farther up the lid. You also will probably wind up stress cracking the wing if you try and splay the base wider.

Just my opinion, but I think it won't be an easy or durable solution.

Yea that's what I was worried about. Although I have read of people adding the risers AFTER they had installed the base plates in the usual position and actually getting some play from the wing; It is able to move side to side a bit. Perhaps this could be eliminated by spreading the base plates apart and moving them just a bit further forward? I'd be happy if I could move wing further forward by about an inch or so. Is the curve on the base plates that prominent?

EDIT: looking closer at photos of the wing near the base, the base plates do have quite a bit of a curve on them. Hmm

I've been told you can reverse the APR risers so they move the wing forward instead of farther rearward. I was looking into this for the same reason as the op, to keep the wing from extending beyond the shadow of the car for Honda Challenge rules compliance. It seems this would move the wing's center of pressure more toward the center of the trunk wing mount so you'd have less chance of crushing the back edge of the trunk.

You could probably get a local machine shop to flatten out the base plates a little.

I was thinking of making custom stands for it but since I haven't even mounted mine I got lazy

I don't like the look of the wing with the risers since the angle is so far back
