power steering (EPS) and aftermarket EMS problems

I asked Shad about this at Thill a couple weeks ago and he mentioned that he had wired the raw VSS to your EPS harness in your car. It will appear absurdly fast to the EPS but perhaps it doesn't matter much.
I took delivery of the Race Technology pulse divider a few weeks ago - just have to hook it up and I'll report back.

Back to business...after contorting myself into an absurd position I found gauge connector C (AP1) and discovered that the VSS is tied directly to the EPS in my car. Just like krazik's. That explains why the steering becomes super light on track.
Also noted that SOS cut C5 (blu), presumably to get the tach signal to the EPS and the Stack dash.

I didn't mean a bastard for telling you, but for making me wrong lol
Hmm, my car is just for the street, however on a rainy day I lost the rear end and did a 180 onto the gravel shoulder, no impacts with anything however my EPS was very heavy after that incident. When I'm at low speeds in a parking lot it feels normal, but once at speed its very stiff, stiff enough to not return to centre when you let go of the wheel. More recently the speedo unit seems to have the backlighting flicker intermittently, I can reach under the dash and grab onto a harness right under the steering column and pull slightly to replicate the flickering manually. Perhaps there is a loose/damaged wire coming from my cluster to the EPS module and the two problems are somehow connected to each other.
Anyone with any knowledge of the wiring under there know what colour wire in the harness is responsible for powering the backlighting and sending speed signals to the EPS module? Would love to know exactly what I'm looking for when I eventually crawl under there to check it out on a nice day.

The harness right under the steering column should go to the under dash fuse box on the fuse side.
its the main ignition harness that tells everything to turn on.
I would check the plug on the box and make sure its tight.

Haha thanks for the info, not surprising you replied after seeing your photos on your build thread
