Question about antisub belts
I had a question regarding antisub belts. I was reading that 20 degrees was ideal. I wanted to mount the eyebolts as far back as possible so my seat won't touch them when I push the seat back. I'm not sure of the angle this would make but I wanted to confirm that it was still safe.
Thanks

Yes, it will be "safe." Different manufacturers suggest slightly different mounting locations. Schroth (the harnesses I use) recommends the sub-straps be anchored slightly behind the driver at around a 20* angle. Any reasonable distance behind the driver "should" be fine. What is reasonable? I can't be certain; I bet the manufacturer of your belts has an opinion
With something as important as restraints, if you have questions about installation you should check with the manufacturer of your belts. Different belts are engineered to work in slightly different ways and therefore their ideal mounting locations vary slightly. I wouldn't trust the random guy on the internet (me)!
