^^ I think that if the shoulder harness is mounted too high it will not hold your upper body in place adequately and correctly during hard impact allowing it to move forward and causing injury. According to Schroth your body can only be effectively restrained by load transfer on 3 hard points on the body, and the shoulders being one of them. I also read that the harness should only be mounted between a horizontal plane from your shoulders down to no more than 20 degrees. So mounting them too low doesn't help either.

the removeable harness bar is too high.

the welded bar is perfect

it might be the only scca/nasa approved roll bar because no one else makes a proper non-custom roll bar for our car.

scroll down to see pics. The removable bar does not look too high to me, but I am no expert.

20 dregrees is the rule. I can't argue with the tests.

Check pages 12 and 13 HERE

Must start at horizontal plane and no more than 20 degrees down. Also scroll up a bit and check pg. 8.

1) Sparco Circuit Pro
2) 33"
3) 5' 7"
4) 170lbs, chubby in the middle/ass end

I bolted it to sliders since I have the stock wheel/airbag in. Took some drilling/redrilling and creative nut/bolt/washer combinations to get it to fit. Also had to remove all the seat padding for me to fit properly with the harnesses/HANS. For those with less ass than me, I'm sure the stock padding will work... and it's actually quite comfortable, but it was close to like 3" thick at the ass, and 8" thick at the thigh section...I could be exaggerating too though

Thanks for the link. This is a link showing a completely different rule. +30 to -5. I am not disputing or arguing, just learning

How the heck did you get the pro 2000 to fit? Isn't it really wide in the shoulder area? I guess you can't open your center compartment.
