My 615's felt pretty good at Big Willow... 225/255 They're about halfway through their tread life. I was pushing through turn 8 at about 105 or 110 w/ no spoiler or coilovers... felt pretty solid. I can't recall the pressure though.. I'll be back on the 28th, gonna be a hoot. Whats the life on your tires? If they were new I could see them getting slippery more easily than expected.

I dont know if id say the newer RT615s get that greesy when hot. Ive lapped in my RSX on the old and new versions. The new were MUCH more consistant, even on an straight hour track session, my lap times didnt change much at all. I have yet to track my s2k on them yet, so i will definately report back.

My tires were on their 2nd drive, so still lots of tread. Took a good chunk off last time out but they are still pretty deep. But no matter...I'm going get things dialed in my head and get it figured out. Funny how this stuff sneaks into my head during the day, running different lines, etc. Gotta get back out there.

I'd love to get out and lap with some more experienced drivers...are you definitely going on the 28th? And how many people usually show at the Speedventure events...not comfortable with huge #'s of cars just yet....

I just feel like newer tires need to be scrubbed in... before they perform optimally... my opinion anyway. Kinda like how you shave race tires, they perform 100% when they're reduced immediately to almost slicks, instead of their grip slowly improving as they wear simply from driving on them.

I will be there on the 28th yes. Speedventures is a really great group and the guys/gals that usually come out are responsible and fun. I wouldn't let the thought of number of cars get to you... you will be grouped with drivers of the same skill level and instruction is availible as well (and highly recommended). And there are always a good number of the SoCal S2K people there too. Its a really great time out at the track... its going to be the best year yet!
