unfortunaletly not, the hardtop has no added structural rigidity to prevent it from collapsing under the weight of the car.

True, but surprisingly some track organizers allow it. Maybe it's because they are worried about intrusion into the cockpit more than they are about rollover, but more likely it is just a case of "out of sight, out of mind",

Thats not always the case. There is 1 club out here that won't allow s2ks w/o a roll bar. By their own choice.
