I noticed today that the outside half of all 4 rotors are darker than the inside half. I am currently running panther plus pads and I am about ready to replace them as they down to about a third left. Why would my rotors look like this? Also the rotors feel fine they are smooth without ridges or cracks etc.

When you say darker, what color do you refer to? Do they have a bluish tinge to them? If so they may be glazed. Did you just get back from an event?

It will go away. When you change the pads, use sand paper to roughen up the rotors on both side. You should look into brake ducting...

Cocked pads? Are the pads worn flat relative to the backing plate?
