Folkers,
We've got 15 Corvettes signed up and 15 S2000's signed up. It's a competition, so let's get some more S2000's. I'm really excited to see a few new names from the S2000 world. Should be a fun event.

hey this is my first time on the track w/ my s2k...(i'm registered)...
anyone got brake pad recommendations (and where to get them fast/cheap?)? these will be used for track only.
also, can I get away w/ just a front pad replacement?
I'm a low-budget racer

For the track on street tires I'd recommend a complete set of Porterfield R4S's. Another (slightly more hardcore) option is the Carbotech Panter Plus. You can get either set quickly from Ben at Bulletproof for a great price. I also recommend a good high-temp brake fluid, ATE Superblue or similar.
See you there!

Prolene, Minboost:
Prolene: glad you're coming out. Don't worry about the vettes or other S2000's for that matter, there's always someone faster. Improving your times and driving skill is most important. Then when you start beating people, you talk smack.
Minboost: do not keep stock pads on the rear. I ran through a brand new set of stock rears in 2 run sessions at Laguna. They didn't even last the day. You definately want to run the R4S pads JZR recommends. I wouldn't bother with more agressive pads until you've tried the R4S pads.

I have the same problem with the R4S pads that cdelena shows. I just thought they would be good beginner pads. Then if they start crumbling go to Panther+ or R4 or something else.
