What's this thread about? I'm too lazy to read it so can someone just give me the executive summary?
No, I do.
No, I do.
Etc.
Krazik - I know adding weight to change distribution is a bad thing, lighter weight is always better. However I don't see how adding 2 pounds is a big deal. I'll skip my snickers bar and eat a salad for lunch.
FWIW I never expected this thread to get this big. I was just posting a general write-up for newbies trying to make their car a little bit lighter. It turned into my S2k becoming strictly a track car, and trying to think of every possible way to lose weight.

No 10lbs is not a big deal, but it doesn't improve anything either. So if you're doing it to make yourself feel better than thats ok, but don't assume that that extra 10lbs in the back of the car is going to be faster than w/o it.

I worried about this stuff since all the easy weight reduction comes out of the trunk, and when I turbocharged my car I worried even more about weight shifting forward,
good to know something is better than nothing
