You don't have to remove the dash 
It just takes a little ingenuity (and some duct tape). A small ratchet with a 1/4" socket, a t30 drill bit, and a 1/4" drive drill bit extension. The space is very cramped, so I duct taped the t30 bit to the extension. Once you work your fingers in there and get it on the head of the screw, you can use the ratchet to loosen it. You will have to cram 2 fingers in to hold the socket while you loosen it. You can count on scraping a few knuckles on the sharp edges of the plastic around where the radio used to be. I had to use a magnet to fish out the back left screw, but the whole process only took 5 minutes once I found the right combination of tools.
